Is good any good without evil?

My answer....no...at least i don't think so...is there even a right answer to this?

On Farrah's weblog for Tues. May 4, she asks this question while pondering her unfamiliarity with her own religion but a new knowledge for another. After reading her entry I could think of one thing, how little I probably know about my religion, and how little most of us probably know about any sort of religion. Why is that? Well, you tell me. Do you know about your own religion, or do you just like to believe you do and are happy believing in the little that you do know?

I fast every year for Christmas and Easter....I go to confession (yet only once a year...)....i go to church on sunday every so often....does that make me religious?? No...I don't think it means anything. All that matters is what you believe and whether or not you have faith. Of course what this does mean is that I'm out of the running for Nun-hood, but I'm sure I'll get over that one!! = )

But coming back to Farrah's question...there can't be good without evil....there would be no such thing as good...there would be no classification of good and evil. Now my question is....what is good and evil?? Who decides?? Or are we just told???
